Overview

Provides Campus Leadership team(s) with financial and analytical support. Assists in the organization's financial planning and analysis functions. Assists in monitoring and analyzing organizational budgets and may perform periodic planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting. Monitors key performance indicators measuring the financial and operational health of the organization. Engages with management to review and assess performance and in conjunction with Director of FP&A provides guidance on financial and operational impacts to new initiatives, emerging trends, and variances to expectations.

 

Pay Range: $74,000 - $98,000

Responsibilities

  • Partners with Director of FP&A as the Liaison for campus, operations and corporate management teams to provide financial and analytical support in order to maximize efficiencies and effectiveness for their respective business units /functional areas
  • Identifies risk factors, creates and analyzes financial and operational trend information related to the business unit(s)
  • Assists in  analyzing student matriculation trends, campus performance, regional and program economics, proactively identifies risk mitigation and identifies actions and opportunities for improvement
  • Assists in the development and supports the budget and reforecast process for the business unit(s).
  • Provides analysis and support to the Campus President and Corporate teams on trends, growth, KPIs, and the associated financial impacts
  • Reviews past and current financial performance against budgeted estimates, and develops models that assist management in understanding the financial impact of business decisions.
  • Supports the annual budget and reforecast process for business leaders.
  • Ensures compliance with established controls
  • Assists in the preparation and research of  actual results, explains discrepancies works with Director FP&A on making recommendations for improvements and strategic planning
  • Supports the compilation, analysis, and distribution of student metric and KPI Reports
  • Assists with  SOP reviews and SOX compliance
  • Ad-Hoc projects (approximately 25% of workload).  This could be to support any functional area of the business and may directly interact with senior leadership at both the Business Unit and Corporate level
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or related field required.
  • Minimum three to five (3-5) years of finance or accounting experience required.
  • Minimum one to two (1-2) years of experience in a Financial Analyst role strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of one to two (1-2) years of experience in AD-HOC reporting preferred. 
  • Minimum one to three (1-3) years industry experience in education, technical trade school experience is a plus

Skills

  • Interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional decorum.
  • Knowledge of software applications including; Microsoft Office, Crystal Reports, Hyperion and PeopleSoft.  Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essential

Abilities

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 5 pounds 5% or less of the workday
  • Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday
  • Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, and reason for most or all of the workday
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
  • May require occasional overnight travel to support remote Campus team

Work Environment

  • Work is performed indoors in a climate controlled environment.
  • Regular business hours, some overtime and occasional travel.
