Overview

The IT Program Manager provides strategic leadership across multiple interrelated IT projects within enterprise programs. This role manages program resources, budgets, risks, cross-functional dependencies, and ensures delivery of integrated solutions that support long-term business value. The IT Program Manager leads governance structures, facilitates executive stakeholder engagement, and oversees change management and benefits realization across the program lifecycle.

 

Pay Range: $108,000 - $150,000

Responsibilities

Specific Accountabilities

  • Lead End-to-End Implementation
    Drive planning, coordination, and execution of ERP (Workday), CRM, and SIS programs across all phases: requirements, design, development/configuration, testing, business readiness, OCM, and deployment.
  • Business & IT Alignment
    Partner with functional leaders to align technology solutions with business processes and compliance requirements.
  • Vendor & Partner Management
    Manage relationships with Workday and Salesforce implementation partners, ensuring deliverables meet contractual obligations and quality standards.
  • Risk & Issue Management
    Proactively identify risks related to data migration, system performance, and change adoption; develop mitigation strategies.
  • Governance & Steering Committees
    Facilitate executive-level governance forums, presenting program health, KPIs, and strategic recommendations.
  • Organizational Change Management (OCM)
    Oversee OCM strategies to ensure stakeholder engagement, training, and adoption of new systems.

Qualifications

Education / Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (required)
• Master’s degree (preferred)
• Ten (10) years of experience in IT program and project management, including enterprise-level initiatives (required)
• Experience in management of complex, cross-functional IT initiatives
• Expert understanding of Program Management, and Adaptive Project Management methodologies as well as agile frameworks and ways of working

 

Licenses / Certifications:

• PMP Certification (Required)
• PgMT Certification (preferred)
• Valid, state-issued driver's license (required)

 

Skills:

  • Deep ERP/CRM Expertise: Hands-on experience with Workday Finance modules and Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud.
  • Data Migration & Integration: Strong understanding of ETL processes, APIs, and middleware for large-scale system integrations.
  • Testing Leadership: Expertise in managing UAT, SIT, and regression testing for enterprise applications.
  • Budget & Financial Control: Ability to manage multi-million-dollar program budgets and vendor contracts.
  • Executive Communication: Skilled in presenting complex program updates to C-suite stakeholders.

Abilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Ability to lead multi-year, multi-system transformation programs.
  • Decision-Making Under Ambiguity: Navigate complex organizational structures and competing priorities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong partnerships across Finance, Marketing, Student Services, and IT.

Experience

  • Mandatory:
    • Direct leadership of at least one Workday ERP or Salesforce CRM implementation from initiation to deployment.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with Student Information Systems.
    • Background in higher education or large-scale corporate environments
