Overview

This position will function as a   point of contact for  inquiring and enrolled students interested in a UTI, MMI, or NASCAR Technical Institute programs.  This position will serve as an internal call center representative to take manage inbound student call and outbound campaigns.   The contact center representative will facilitate answering general questions, schedule student appointment or transfer to a functional Financial Aid team member.   The ideal candidate is intrinsically motivated to help or assist people improve their current situation, proactive and driven to exceed goals, internally competitive, empathetic to others, while being conversational and drawn to personal engagement.

Responsibilities

• Understand student questions and current financial status; Facilitate and provide guidance on next steps.
• Work from activity queues in Dynamics CRM and document results
• De-escalate calls and notify timely the appropriate Financial Aid individuals.
• Ensure quality and consistency in student messaging and interactions.
• Meet daily, weekly and monthly contact attempt deliverables
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 0 – 2 years customer service experience
  • Experience working in a contact center environment is preferred

 

Skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essential
  • Ability to listen, react and establish rapport quickly
  • Self-motivated and action oriented
  • Ability to use good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to organize and provide clerical functions such as typing
  • Knowledge of personal computer software applications including Word and Excel

 

Abilities

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 5 pounds or less 5% of the workday
  • Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday
  • Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday
  • Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.

 

Work Environment

  • Work is performed indoors in a climate controlled environment.
