Overview

The Sr. IT Project Manager oversees the success of assigned projects by managing all stages from initiation to completion.  They are a highly organized people and process leader with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.  They prepare reports for upper management regarding status of the team and projects.  Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals of the team.  A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically will manage two to three medium to large projects at any one time.

 

Pay Range: $100,000 - $125,000

Responsibilities

  • Lead project management functions for IT teams to deliver highly scalable and flexible solutions to support growth and diversification strategies.
  • Plan and manage multiple complex technical projects to ensure on-time delivery of products
  • Facilitate kick off meetings, project planning, and solutioning meetings
  • Determine and define project scope and objectives
  • Develop and maintain project plans and project documentation to drive efficiency
  • Drive on-time delivery of project including business case, requirements, project planning, testing, and implementation.
  • Identify and resolve issues that may negatively impact a project or project deliverables to ensure on-time delivery and product quality.
  • Define and monitor key project metrics and prepares status reports and dashboards to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Continuously evaluates project risks and implements risk mitigation plans and strategies.
  • Coordinates activities and deliverables across multiple teams including IT, business, and external vendor service providers.
  • Leads efforts to continually improve project delivery processes
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems management, computer science, engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience with demonstrated ability required
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
  • Minimum five (5) plus years’ experience working as a Project Manager or in a project leadership role required.
  • Project Management experience within Information Technology, Software Development, or other Technical Engineering industry strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, FERPA, GLBA, DoE Blue Book, Accreditation Standards, etc.) preferred

  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), MS Project, Azure DevOps, and Teams strongly preferred

 

Abilities

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 5 pounds 5% or less of the workday
  • Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday
  • Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday
  • Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.
  • Will require less than 5% overnight travel

 

Work Environment

  • Work is performed indoors in a climate controlled environment.
  • Regular business hours; occasional extended hours required
  • This position is designated as Fully Remote
