Overview

The Supervisor, Talent Acquisition (TA) Operations leads the onboarding function and oversees core onboarding activities, including background check adjudication, system processing, and new hire orientation. In addition, the supervisor owns department-wide TA reporting and analytics, developing and maintaining dashboards, performance metrics, vendor utilization reports, and presentations for leadership. This position also serves as a subject matter expert (SME) on the applicant tracking and onboarding systems.

 

Salary Range: $65,000 - $87,000

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete onboarding process, from background check initiation through new hire orientation
    • Monitor adherence to standard operating procedures
    • Ensure compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, and legal statutes
    • Proactively identify gaps or delays in the process
    • Recommend and implement improvements, streamline workflows, and enhance the candidate experience
  • Prepare data-driven insights to TA leadership and key stakeholders.
    • Lead TA reporting and analytics; Deliver periodic insights on assigned metrics
    • Create and manage dashboards, scorecards, and regular reports (e.g. recruiter activity, onboarding metrics, time-to-fill, etc.)
    • Analyze trends and performance data
    • Identify issues and recommend process improvements
    • Monitor, and report on, performance and utilization of TA department technologies
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for TA systems, including ATS and other onboarding platforms
    • Directly partner with HRIS and IT teams for systems support and updates
    • Maintain data accuracy across all TA system platforms to ensure reliable reporting and compliance
    • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to support onboarding processes, troubleshoot problems, and explore opportunities for improvement
  • Provide reporting support for audits, compliance reviews, and cross-functional initiatives
  • Develop on-going knowledge base content to support consistent service delivery
  • Create and maintain TA training and process documentation in shared folders, with clear team ownership and regular reviews
  • Establish/maintain a high performance team of professional, motivated and engaged staff utilizing effective training, performance management and career-development activities while leading them to achieve established business results and performance metrics

Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • HS Diploma or GED (required) and seven (7) years progressive talent acquisition experience (required) - or -
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, management, Human Resources, or related field and three (3) years progressive talent acquisition experience (preferred)
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working within an enterprise level ATS (required, iCIMS preferred)
  • Specific experience in education, or other highly regulated field, and multi-site, multi-state environments (preferred)
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in a people management, team lead or supervisory role within HR and TA (required)
  • Administrator experience with ATS and other recruiting tools (preferred)
