Overview

The Technology Solutions Architect, AI & Data is responsible for designing and guiding the implementation of integrated technology solutions that meet business objectives. This role collaborates with stakeholders to define requirements, evaluate technologies, and ensure architectural consistency across systems. You will provide strategic direction and technical leadership across infrastructure, data, and application domains.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Architect Scalable AI Solutions and Develop end-to-end architectures for AI applications, including traditional machine learning and generative AI
  • Lead Integration of AI with Data Infrastructure - Architect seamless integration between AI models and existing Azure-based data platforms to enable real-time analytics and intelligent applications.
  • Evaluate and Recommend AI Technologies - Assess emerging AI tools, frameworks, and platforms and align them with business and educational use cases.
  • Ensure AI Governance, Ethics, and Compliance
  • Design scalable and secure architecture solutions across infrastructure, data, and application layers.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into architectural designs.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms, and tools to support solution delivery.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain architectural documentation including diagrams and specifications.
  • Support implementation teams by providing technical guidance and oversight.
  • Conduct reviews to ensure solutions meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Promote reuse of components, patterns, and frameworks across projects.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and roadmap development for technology initiatives.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in IT architecture, systems design, or solution engineering.
  • 5+ years of data architecture experience is required
  • Proven experience designing and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments is required
  • Strong understanding of machine learning lifecycle, including data preparation, model training, deployment, and monitoring is required
  • Experience working with Generative AI models and ability to translate business problems into AI use cases and solution architectures preferred
  • Experience with AI services in Azure, including Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, and Azure OpenAI is preferred
  • Understanding of ethical considerations in GenAI: bias, hallucination, data privacy, and responsible use is preferred
  • Experience integrating AI into student-facing applications, such as intelligent tutoring systems, chatbots, or simulation platforms preferred

Skills

  • Deep expertise in Azure cloud services including ML, OpenAI, Cognitive Services, ADLS, Synapse, etc.
  • experience designing data pipelines and architectures for AI workloads using Azure Data Factory, Event Hubs, and Stream Analytics
  • Proficiency in cloud-native architecture: microservices, containers (AKS), serverless computing is preferred
  • Strong grasp of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and MLOps practices in Azure, including CI/CD pipelines for model deployment is preferred
