Responsibilities

  • Receive shipments from freight carrier or shipper.
  • Perform visual inspection and receive items into computer tracking system.
  • Safeguard goods until the original purchaser can pick up goods or provide delivery instructions.
  • Assist purchasing and purchasers in resolving discrepancies as they arise.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls and inquires as need.
  • Bar code all capital items before releasing them to the purchaser.
  • Provide backup support for Resource Center or Accounting department.
  • Special Projects as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Skills

  • Computer Skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Communication (written and verbal) and Customer Service Skills
  • Strong Organizational skills with attention to detail

Abilities

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds throughout the workday
  • Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl throughout the workday
  • Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday
  • Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.
