Overview

The Senior Graphic Designer position works closely with UTI’s internal teams and contributes to the great work we do every day to evolve the brand. This role will own the concept and development of marketing materials and online content that supports brand vision and drives results. This role requires a self-motivated individual with a passion for design, strong conceptual thought, and the ability to manage contractors, agency partners and junior resources for success. Strong branding and production skills that work across print, digital and social platforms are a must.

Responsibilities

Principal Accountabilities & Deliverables

  • Leads the design and production of creative assets across multiple platforms, including digital, print, and large-format applications such as lobby graphics, wall branding, signage, and environmental design.
  • Demonstrates exceptional time management and thrives in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines, while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Oversees complex projects from concept through completion, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors. Provides creative direction and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Communicates directly with internal partners and external clients to understand project goals, present concepts, and deliver design solutions that align with strategic objectives.
  • Ensures all creative work maintains brand consistency and serves as a brand ambassador by reviewing and guiding work produced outside the core creative team.
  • Sources or captures original photography and video content to support marketing campaigns as needed.
  • Helps manage and maintain the organization’s creative asset library, templates, and design files.
  • Contributes to the improvement of production workflows, tools, and processes to optimize team efficiency.
  • Stays current with emerging design technologies, including leveraging AI tools to enhance creativity, streamline workflows, and improve production efficiency.
  • Supports special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Education / Experience

 

  • An Associate's degree in graphic design is preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and demonstrated skill is required.
  • (A Bachelor’s degree in graphic design is a plus)
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a graphic designer or in a similar role within an agency or marketing team is required.
  • A powerful portfolio (attached to the resume) demonstrating a passion for design, strategy, and execution is highly preferred.
  • Strong Background in Print and Large Format. (Highly Preferred)
  • Solid experience working across a variety of media (print, digital and social).
  • Demonstrated success in producing sophisticated graphic designs, owning the concept and development of marketing materials and online content that supports the brand vision and drives results.
  • Prior corporate experience is a plus.

  • Creative problem-solver with substantial strategic design experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of the print-production process and associated technologies is necessary.
  • Experience in photo shoot production is preferred.
  • Proficiency in the latest design tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, 3D content management programs, and AI-assisted tools, is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is essential.
