Overview

This role supports students and the overall department as the first point of contact for the Student Services/Experience department. This position is responsible for the management of the traffic within the department. Additionally, this role is responsible for a variety of administrative tasks geared towards the general support of the department to ensure students receive the proper customer service and that all entry-level tasks are completely timely and accurately for the team.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and direct students arriving for appointments; notify staff as needed
  • Answer and route calls professionally using a multi-line phone system
  • Manage department mailings and distribute incoming mail to appropriate staff
  • Maintain and update student files, including scanning and linking documents
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry and generate departmental reports
  • Provide backup support to coordinators and assist with other duties as needed

Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • High school diploma or completion of GED required
  • Two years’ experience with customer service and basic administrative tasks

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated, strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of basic computing and word processing applications. Intermediate speed in 10-key.
