Vice President of Talent Acquisition


Location: Remote
Reports To: Chief Human Resources Officer, SVP

Position Summary

The Vice President of Talent Acquisition is a strategic leader responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy that supports the organization’s mission, growth objectives, and workforce plans. This role oversees all aspects of recruitment, from employer branding and candidate experience to technology optimization and onboarding. The VP will work closely with senior leadership, divisional HR partners, and functional business leaders to build scalable hiring solutions that attract and retain a high-performing, diverse workforce across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

    • Strategic Workforce Planning & Alignment
      Partner with divisional HR and senior business leaders to forecast hiring needs, develop workforce strategies, and align recruitment plans with company growth goals and budgets.

    • Enterprise Talent Acquisition Strategy
      Design and lead a scalable, enterprise-wide talent acquisition strategy that supports organizational priorities, operational efficiency, and workforce scalability.

    • Recruitment Lifecycle Management
      Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle across functions, divisions, and geographies—ensuring a consistent, high-quality candidate experience and timely, impactful hires.

    • Employer Branding & Talent Attraction
      Build and promote a compelling employer brand in collaboration with marketing teams to attract diverse, top-tier talent via digital platforms, storytelling, and partnerships.

    • Sourcing & Innovation
      Drive innovative sourcing strategies using AI tools, CRM platforms, talent communities, and social media to enhance pipeline strength and hiring outcomes.

    • Technology & Data Optimization
      Evaluate and optimize recruiting technologies (e.g., ATS, CRM) to improve scalability, efficiency, and user experience for both candidates and hiring managers.

    • Onboarding & Retention Support
      Collaborate with HR teams to deliver an engaging onboarding experience that accelerates new hire productivity and reinforces company culture and values.

    • Talent Acquisition Analytics & Reporting
      Establish and track KPIs, pipeline health, and ROI through dashboards and reports; use data insights to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.

    • Cross-Functional Integration
      Work closely with HR and business leaders to integrate recruitment efforts with broader workforce planning, succession, and development strategies.

    • Team Leadership & Development
      Build, lead, and develop a high performing, engaged TA team by setting clear goals, recognizing achievements, and fostering professional growth.

 

Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (required)

    • Master’s degree (preferred)

  • Experience:

    • 12 years of progressive leadership in full-cycle talent acquisition, including five (5) years in a

      large, multi-site organization

    • Expert knowledge of recruitment models and regulatory requirements (preferably in post-secondary education)
    • Proven success building and scaling recruitment operations in high-growth, fast-paced environments

    • Demonstrated expertise in talent pipeline development, executive search, and high-volume recruiting strategies

    • Human Resource certification (e.g. SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, PHR, or SPHR) (preferred)
  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate and solve complex challenges

    • Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills

    • Adept at data analysis and leveraging insights to guide decisions

    • Deep understanding of recruitment technologies (iCIMS preferred), productivity tools (MS Office), and enterprise systems (e.g., SharePoint, Adobe DC)

    • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

    • Flexible, adaptable, and capable of operating effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

    • Remote position with up to 10% travel

    • Must meet minimum technical requirements for remote work

    • Work performed in indoor, climate-controlled environments during on-site visits
