Temporary Payroll Analyst


Type: Temporary Assignment
Location: Phoenix, AZ | Hybrid (1 in-office day every other week)
Duration: 2 to 3 months (potential to extend)

 

We are looking for a skilled Temporary Payroll Analyst to support our payroll operations during a high-volume period. In this role, you will be responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with payroll tax regulations. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) and a strong understanding of payroll tax practices.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly/bi-weekly payroll using UKG, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes
  • Review and verify timesheets and resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and reporting requirements
  • Assist with payroll audits and reconciliations
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and internal departments
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure seamless payroll operations

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelors degree preferred
  • 3+ years of payroll experience, including exposure to multi-state payroll

  • Proficient in UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) payroll systems

  • Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance

  • High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Available to commit to a full-time, temporary assignment
