Overview

The Division Senior Vice President of Finance is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing the financial strategy for the assigned division. This role provides strategic oversight of financial planning, forecasting, procurement, compliance, and performance management to drive sustainable growth, operational excellence, and shareholder value in a dynamic, for-profit educational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of a robust financial management framework, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and long-term strategic plans
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting to executive leadership and the Board of Directors
  • Build and refine dynamic P&L forecasting models (12-month and 5-year horizons), focusing on key business drivers and simplifying performance projections
  • Monitor financial and operational performance, identify variances, and drive accountability across the organization
  • Lead the evolution of procurement from a transactional function to a strategic capability, optimizing spend across CapEx and OpEx categories
  • Partner with Real Estate and Construction to embed procurement strategy into growth initiatives
  • Identify and implement initiatives to enhance revenue, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency
  • Champion finance transformation efforts, including technology enablement and process optimization
  • Ensure a strong internal control environment and compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and the Code of Conduct
  • Support quarterly SEC reporting, including MD&A contributions and financial disclosures
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, engagement, and continuous improvement
  • Build a strong succession pipeline and recognize team achievements

 

  • Establish/maintain a high performance team of professional, motivated and engaged staff utilizing effective training, performance management and career-development activities while leading them to achieve established business results and performance metrics
  • Recognizes and rewards employee contributions and achievements
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Fincance, or other highly related field (required); Master's degree (preferred)
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive Finance and/or Accounting experience, with at least 10 years in leadership roles in a publically traded company (required)
  • Experience as a divisional or standalone finance executive, and with multi-unit and/or multi-location environment in a company with $500 million or greater in revenue (preferred )
  • Industry experience in education, manufacturing or business services, or technical trade school experience (preferred)

  • Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment when on site at assigned company location. Employees must be able to safely ambulate when on company premises.
  • This position is designated as Remote. Employees must meet minimum technical standards for eligibility and participation.
  • Overnight and/or Local travel required (up to 10%)
