Education/ Experience
- Educational Requirements: High School diploma or GED required. A Bachelor’s degree in an IT field or equivalent work experience and demonstrated ability is essential.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Blackboard Administrator and instructional designer is required. Additionally, a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in higher education is necessary.
- Blackboard Expertise: Familiarity with user roles, problem-solving, implementation, maintenance of courses, and troubleshooting user problems in Blackboard is required.
- SQL and Microsoft Office: Working knowledge of SQL for analytics and troubleshooting is strongly preferred. Advanced experience with Microsoft Office products such as Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
- Computing and Networking: Knowledge of computing, networking, and communications systems, as well as external educational applications, is essential.
- Streaming Video Technologies: Experience with streaming video technologies is preferred.
- Analytical and Troubleshooting Skills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve software and system problems are crucial.
- Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Ability to function in flexible and adaptable work schedules and a willingness to continuously learn and improve technical skills.
