Experience
- 6+ years in Information Security, with 4+ years in security engineering.
- 2–4 years supporting DevOps or cloud-native environments with a security-first mindset.
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (FERPA, GLBA, HIPAA, SOX, PCI).
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to identify areas for improvement and lead continuous security enhancements
- At least one security certification (CISSP preferred).
- Hands-on experience with:
- Shift-left Security approach, developing and implementing DevSecOps principles and secure SDLC practices
- Integrating security into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, SonarCube, Snyk, Trivy, etc…
- Implementing SAST/DAST scanning and ensuring proper code coverage
- Building, securing and deploying containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, BICEP, or ARM templates
- Microsoft 365 & Azure security features (Defender, PIM, Conditional Access, etc.)
- Development and scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Securing cloud native applications and API’s
