Position Overview:
The role of an Academic and Career Advisor is pivotal in a student's educational and professional journey. Their responsibilities span from pre-enrollment to post-graduation, encompassing various aspects of student support to ensure comprehensive development and success.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Onboarding Champion: Seamlessly onboarding new students with comprehensive orientation, thorough document collection, and streamlined enrollment
  • Be a Student Recruiter: Empowering students for industry success with mock interviews, resume workshops, career counseling, and dynamic career fairs and employer events
  • Unlock your Succes as a Main Point Resource: Boosting employment rates through proactive follow-ups and personalized support, leveraging every touchpoint to connect students with hidden job opportunities
  • Become a Campus Engagement Coordinator: Building a vibrant campus community through engaging activities, interactive support, and seamless acclimation to blended learning.
  • Be a Campus Ambassador and Public Speaker: Guiding students to career success with MSAT opportunities through engaging presentations and strategic career insights.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED required
    • 4-year degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Experience:  2-3 years of experience in the education field is preferred but not required
  • Patience and Empathy: Ability to advise and guide adult students in academic and life-skill matters
  • Adaptability:  Multi-task in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and shift priorities quickly  
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to connect with students and fellow staff effectively
