Overview

The Campus Admissions Director (CAD) position involves leading a team of admissions representatives with the common goal of striving for service excellence while enrolling, starting and graduating students. While motivating and inspiring them to achieve results the CAD must work collaboratively with Financial Aid, Student Services and Education. A self-confident, extroverted communication and management style that can enliven, engage, and positively impact individuals (students as well as employees) is essential. A successful candidate will thrive in this fast paced, goal oriented and results driven environment and must be able to effectively delegate when necessary. The Campus Admissions Director will need to be effective at multi-tasking while continuing to motivate others to an ever-changing organization environment. The core of this position requires a dynamic team leader who can link goals with individual motivation and help develop the organization from within the admissions department.

 

Pay Range: $90-120K

Location: Bloomfield, NJ

Responsibilities

• Provides overall leadership, to staff to include daily coaching and development through situational leadership as well as performance management and conflict resolution.
• Forecast sales goals, set performance, and activity standards necessary for the individual Campus Representative to achieve the goals.
• Manages staffing levels by:
• Preparing staffing projections in the budgeting process.
• Partnering in the interview and selection process.
• Proactively recruit to build a bench.
• Communicates the strategic vision of UTI and the Admissions department to the Campus location in such a way that creates alignment and clear direction to achieve results.
• Maintains good working relations with other Directors/Managers to ensure all departments are working toward the same common goal.
• Manages existing policies and processes that are consistent with our company philosophy and that contribute toward the achievement of our goals.
• Partners with the Campus National Training Director on training for Campus Representatives.
• Partners with matrix leaders and Field Sales to maintain alignment with shared goals.
• Submits weekly and monthly reports to Campus President and Admissions leaders.
• Attends various meetings at both the Campus and Home Office location as necessary.
• Establish/maintain a high performance team of professional, motivated and engaged staff utilizing effective training, performance management and career-development activities while leading them to achieve established business results and performance metrics
• Recognizes and rewards employee contributions and achievements
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in sales/management
  • 3-5 years of management experience
  • 3-5 years of sales experience

  • Knowledge of personal computer software applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.

Abilities

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 5 pounds or less 5% of the workday
  • Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday
  • Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday
  • Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
  • May require overnight travel.

 Work Environment

  • Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
